Bio
Adam Horst has been into sports since childhood, including hockey - he played junior and senior hockey in his hometown, winning an Allan Cup in 2010 - as well as competitive baseball, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and motocross. A true-blue Canadian if ever there was one. Horst trained to become a firefighter at Lakeland College in Vermillion, Alberta, after spending much of his early years honing his skills in the motorcycle mechanic trade at his family's motorcycle dealership. Though racing on the Red Bull Crashed Ice circuit is certainly one of his strong-suits, Horst continues to spend much of his time working both as a firefighter and mechanic in his hometown. And although he's lived in Fort Saint John, B.C. all his life, one of his top highlights from the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship was getting the opportunity to travel to parts of the world he had never visited. For Adam Horst, the new friends and experiences gained through travelling with the world championship are second only to the exhilarating races and special events that Red Bull puts on along the way.
