Bio

Bart van Roosmalen has always been very active, practicing numerous sports in his career, such as boxing, climbing, whitewater rafting and kayaking, indoor cycling, inline hockey, karate, ice hockey and skating. He was first introduced to football at the early age of four. He learned the skills to master the sport, but it wasn't fast or challenging enough for him. Thanks to a roller hockey training which was taking place in his hometown, he got into his favourite sport: hockey – his only real passion! For about seven years, Bart played in various teams and often travelled abroad. At various world championships, he won with Team Holland one silver and four bronze medals. In recent years, Bart played in the first division and premier league where he was able to win the Dutch Championship twice and Bart can still be found at his Utrecht club. In 2010, a friend of Bart told him about the qualification in the Netherlands for the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship. He participated and managed to qualify for the finals in Quebec City, Canada.
