The home of Red Bull Crashed Ice, Canada's Quebec City, hosted the 2014 finale on March 20-22.
Switzerland's Derek Wedge was crowned the Ice Cross Downhill World Champion in Quebec last winter in front of approximately 100,000 spectators and, one year on, the world's most talented skaters were going all out to claim the crown for 2014.
Quebec City - a Red Bull Crashed Ice institution and the so-called Mecca of ice cross downhill having hosted an event in each of the past eight years - delivered another incredible race. A total of 12 qualifiers across Canada selected the 100 best national athletes to mix it with the international elite which already includes Canada's own Kyle and Scott Croxall.
The longest track of the year, a 480-metre-long course fit for the final, staged all the action as the ice cross downhill riders raced four-at-a-time all the way down to the finish, with the same venue also hosting the final of the Ice Cross Downhill Team Competition.
The final race in the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship 2014 was streamed live on redbullcrashedice.com and is now available as VOD.
