Bio

The Finnish ice hockey player competed in the 2002-2003 North American Hockey League (NAHL), one of the top junior hockey leagues in the United States. In 2007-2008, the striker spent the rest of the season back home in Helsinki but moved to Lappeenranta for the 2008-2009 season on a two-year contract. Wanting another challenge, Jouhkimainen started to compete in ice cross downhill and was excited about the rise of the new and fast sport on skates. Since 2007, the 29-year-old athlete has been travelling around the world and competing against the world elite on ice tracks filled with obstacles and sharp turns. He managed to get on the top step of the podium in Davos, in 2008, and Prague, in 2009.

What first got you interested in the sport?
It's an exciting new and fast sport on hockey skates.

Try to have fun!

What is your best result or favourite memory at a Red Bull Crashed Ice?
A 1st place in Davos and Prague.
