Pacôme Schmitt, of France, is a ski instructor and started competing in ice cross downhill at the Red Bull Crashed Ice event in Lausanne in 2013. The adrenaline junkie has always been active and is constantly looking to try something new. The sports enthusiast has been skiing, playing hockey, speed riding, paragliding, golfing, and practicing many other sports like parachuting and slacklining. Pacôme's debut in ice cross downhill gave him the chills and thrills for the sport and he finished 23rd overall in the 2013 season, despite competing in just two races. He kicked off the 2014 season in Helsinki, Finland, with an amazing third-placed finish for his first podium.
