2016/17 is Dylan Moriarity's fifth season competing in Red Bull Crashed Ice. When Dylan first heard about Red Bull Crashed Ice, he was not old enough to compete but both him and his twin brother, Dean, waited for their opportunity that eventually came in Niagara Falls in 2013. Since then both have continued to train and push themselves and at the start of the 2015 season Dylan claimed a third-placed finish in the first-ever Riders Cup at Afton Alps in Minnesota. A sixth-placed finish in the first Red Bull Crashed Ice event of the year in Saint Paul followed, and in Belfast he powered his way into second place. Dylan has played competitive hockey all his life and continues to do so today. Red Bull Crashed Ice combines his love for adrenaline and competitive sport, and he's determined to push himself and train in order to do better each time.
Last year, he started the season with a 4th place finish in Quebec and a 2nd place finish in Austria which then ended his season as he fractured his ankle in the last jump in Austria. He was operated in January and then followed physiotherapy.
After intensive training, he is back to 100% and ready to start the season.
"Like always my goal this year is to be the best and making sure not to take any unnecessary risks so I can stay healthy all season."
