Growing up with a passion for downhill skiing and mountain bike racing, John Fisher loved the thrill of going fast and overcoming rough obstacles. When he first saw Red Bull Crashed Ice televised he knew it was a sport that he would love to compete in. Originating with the rich history of hockey players, he felt that the sport was ready for a new generation of athletes with an alpine skiing background that were more comfortable with speed and airtime. Training at Joyride 150 in Markham, Ontario has revolutionized the training for the sport, exposing use to pump tracks and large jumps to prepare for the upcoming season and preparing him for the upcoming world championship.
